As has been mentioned more than once, Albert does what Albert must. And what Albert Pujols must do, apparently, is to win his third Most Valuable Player award for the National League – this one by unanimous vote.
When that issue of ESPN touting Pujols as ‘The Player of the Century’ came out years ago, I thought it was nice but perhaps a bit of an overstatement.
Well.
Still early in the century, but I wouldn’t want to bet against Albert.
